Handicap Stallion Trikers

I am thinking of getting a Stallion trike. One issue I have is my legs. They are stiff, etc. and make getting in and out of the Stallion a challenge. I was down at the Stallion factory in early July looking around and to see the goodies. The only idea I have come up with to help me in and out of the Stallion is raised floorboards on the outside and maybe moveable raised floors on the inside too.<br />

Basically, I would get some motorcycle chrome floorboards and install them on rubber blocks to the height I needed to make getting into the Stallion a lot easier. The blocks would be like the ones you see on the back of 18-wheel big rig trailers to protect the trailer rear when they back up to docks. I would glue them together for the right height, size, etc. The whole assembly would be glued to the outside rubber steps on the Stallion. To cover the rubber blocks, I would simply attach some black leather motorcycle fringe around the floorboards.

Simple. Should look pretty good too.<br />

Does anyone have a better or different idea for ease of entry and exit from the Stallion? Thanks.

Both of my knees are shot, here is what I do. I sit into my Stallion, I face away from the left side, put left heel on the fin, right hand on steering wheel, and push onto seat. Then slide in enough to get left foot in and then I use looped exercise strap to hook my right foot and pull and bend my knee and swing over to the right side.
Once you get used to it, it's a snap getting in and out! Hope that this helps you.

<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS">Thanks for the info. I have also thought about straps helping to get into and out of the Stallion. I am thinking that the steps I want to build will be very easy too for ingress and egress. Plus, it would go along with the cool styling/paint I want to do on the Stallion. It is unlike anything I have seen before. To give you a hint, I have already named my future Stallion, "Old School". It will blow your mind. hi switchback...I have found the best way to mount the stallion is by approaching and mounting it like a horse.<br />
On the left side with left foot in and swing right leg over. <br />
Repeat in reverse to dismount.<br />
Due to my handicap, we have plans to re-enforce the step from underneath and cutting a stepthrough and making a sliding or trap pocket door for it.<br />

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Yes, that is the first thing I thought of when I confronted the problem of getting into and out of the Stallion -- doors on the side. I almost thought that was the answer until I came up with the step idea. I am getting my leather floorboard fringe from Chilhowee. <br />
