Memorial Day weekend

I left friday morning from north Texas and rode to Sam Rayburn Reservoir to meet and camp with some friends. Took about 5 hours to get there. Great camping and camp cooking. I pulled my new to me Roll a Home, fully loaded basement and 3 bags strapped on top, maiden tow. Storms rolled in early Sunday morning with heavy thunderstoms forecast for later in the day. So I packed up rode about an hour and a half to Nacogdoches to hold over at a friends. I'm glad I did because the storms that rolled through were pretty nasty. But packed from there this morning and made it home about 1 pm today. Overall a great ride and nice camping in the new tent camper.

My buddy lives off a county road and I threw red clay iron ore mud all over the trailer. I stopped at a car wash and a guy ask me if I was an ADVRIDER (looked like I had been on an adventure). I told him yes but not with this rig. I need some mud flaps for the rear and a front fender extender. Oil cooler was caked with mud. Glad I stopped to wash it.

Sounds like y'a had a great time Ron! :clapping:

Sounds like you had a good maiden voyage!

The Roll a Home is a comfy hotel on wheels. :)

Did you end up using the electric brakes?

I did not use the brakes this trip. I had it loaded, basement full and 2 dry bags straped on top. I definitely knew it was there going up hills, but it towed very well and stopped fine. I think I will add a separate power wire from the battery for the controller (not through existing 5 wire plug) for the next tow and see how I like the brakes.
