Blondie, I see your trike was shipped needing paint. Why didn't you order it painted?

Well, I can't speak for Blondie, but I would not order a pre-painted kit either. Too many chances for damage to the paint. Have you priced the cost of paint lately? Some of these exotic colors can run in the thousand dollar per gallon range. In many cases, these panels have to be completely done over, as they can't be "spotted in". In short, economically speaking, it's the best way to go. Just my 2 pennies worth. Have a good ride!
If you can dream it, you can do it.
Hermit, now you have me asking myself, "why was my trike delivery delayed 2 days." I got a call Monday that my trike would not be ready till Friday instead of Wednesday like we first agreed on. I didn't think about maybe the paint was damaged intransit. Then again, maybe I'm worring about nothing. However, when I pick it up, I will ask why the delay and I will look the trike over very good.

Don't rush it as they are doing a fine job and you don't want them to miss something because you are excited. Nothing ever goes as planned. I build them and know this for a fact. IT WILL NEVER BE BUILT FAST ENOUGH FOR THE OWNER.....Enjoy your beautiful trike as soon as it is finished...

True about it never being finished soon enough...
but I had told OpenRoad outfitters to take their time so it's done right. I'd rather it done correctly and having a safe ride, then one that's rushed.
Besides, OpenRoad Outfitters will not rush a job no matter what. If the customer is in that much of a rush, he'd rather turn away that one customer then put out a bad job.
Blondie, do U have the trike as ur screen saver yet?????

Blondie,
You've got a very beautiful trike, good luck and enjoy the open road; remember the motto of the trike community 'Free on Three'.

Never got down to Biketoberfest but since I posted that on 9/15/08 (todays date 9/27) I am now close to 1,700 miles on the odometer. Planning to have double that by the end of Oct. Whoo-hooOriginally Posted by Blondie
I do ride her to/from work everyday (only 14 miles round trip) and I leave for work around 4:45-5:00AM (AKA: 0-dark-30) and I have to say - I LOVE my heated seat!!! Nothing like a toasty butt on those cold damp mornings. LOL
If anyone in the NoVA/DC/MD area wants to ride let me know. I'm always up for a ride and meeting new folks to ride with ->I get off work most days by 2:30<-
