Thanks for sharing, boy were things inexpensive back then.

I remember in the 1960s when my parents would go grocery shopping and $100.00 would fill the entire trunk of the car.

Now you're lucky if it fills 10 small supermarket plastic bags.

Too much "inflation" going on since the 50's, (and before).

I'm no economist, but I'd suspect its mostly greed causing it.

Trouble is, it ain't getting any better & there's no "cure" in sight...

Its all relative.... For instance , My First new car bought in 1964, A 64 Barracuda cost me 26 hundred dollars......But ;And here is the relative part... My salary back then was 65/75 dollars a week....The last car[Truck] i bought cost 43 thousand dollars, And i hope i'm making a little more than 65/75....

Ron I remember the first year I made $40K tax time is when we realized we had made $40K and for the life of us we could not under stand were it went we as still living from week to week.

I remember in 1963 if I made $6000 a year Id be rich wouldn't have to pay social security after that.
