First time with a HD Triglide

I finally crossed over. 25 + years with Honda s and Suzuki's. I recently purchased a 2014 HD Triglide with 7400 miles on it. I am having some problems with slipping my gears into neutral. Any suggestions that I should consider ? It occurs most when I am going to go into reverse. Is there some adjustments in the gear box ? I am planning to wait until my next service and ask the dealer to look into my problem.

Congratulations and welcome from central ND! On our 2017 Triglide I find it easier to find neutral by tapping the heel shifter from first gear. I don't seem to have much luck using the toe shifter. Best of luck and enjoy!

make sure the clutch is adjusted correctly and then use a good oil in both the trans and primary. oil is discussed in several threads on the forum. congrats on the purchase

Finding neutral is a common problem, I learned to put it in first, Then just ''Lightly'' tap the heal shifter back into neutral...Also i would check' or have the dealer check the shifter rod for excess slop...Too much play in the rod will also make finding neutral hard...

Congrats on your ride. Practice, practice, practice. The heal toe shifter takes a little getting used to.

Congrats on the purchase. What has already been said about clutch being properly adjusted. Also, easiest to get to neutral if still in motion, even just a little bit.

Congrats on the purchase. As several have mentioned clutch adjustment, but I also switched to Belay 85W 140. Really made a difference and mine shifts better.

Congratulations, I have a 14 triglide that I bought new. It took a little time to get the neutral shift system down. I moved the shift levers lower to the floorboard and always go to neutral from 1st gear with a slight tap of the heel and making sure the clutch lever is fully pulled. Enjoy the trike. Jim

Welcome, easiest is like they say slip it in while still moving right before the stop. Once you get used to it it will come naturally. Best of riding,
