Hello everyone, I just got my privilege today after I did registered last night.

I am very glad, when I found of this forum, I know this forum will be benefit myself which is a handicap was in the wheelchair years ago.

I used to ride my motorcycle many years ago, when I was oversea, my first motorcycle was 1958 BMW 500CC, I love that motorcycle and think about it every time I was in any saddle of the motorcycle.

At the present time I have a 2001 BMW K1200LTC I used to ride all the time until I got my back surgeries I paralyze from my waist down after but I still kept my bike up to this year, after I lean how to walk again, I think I can ride my bike, but I was wrong my left lag still too weak to handle, I almost drop it. I have been look in several option including: 1: send my bike in to convert to trike but I cannot afford it. 2: Trike kit but I did not know how the thing are worth for the price and how safe they are in high speed on the freeway and cornering.

Anyone have any experience on these trike kit please give me some advises or any suggestion I will be appreciate very much.

Welcome aboard prowler. Glad you found us. What trike kit are you asking about? The conversion is the way to go but you mention money is a factor. There are a couple of companies that make conversions for the BMW. Very nice.

The problem with most of the add on side wheel kits is that they are rather hard to steer. Set up con be a real test also. Some once they got it right have liked them. Most also say that they like their conversion much more when they upgrade. good luck.

Hello Prowler, and welcome!!! Most of us have kits that converted our 2-wheeler to three wheels, and we love them! As tmigala mentions, there are also add-on kits, such as the Voyager, which bolt on extra wheels so you actually end up with four wheels. These are excellent options for some people, but you will almost certainly find that the true 3-wheel conversion with a rake on the front end will feel more stable and be much easier to steer with your paralysis. Please tell us what kits you are considering, and we will do our best to help with your answers.

bonjour

French to English Translation per Google Translate:

Welcome to TrikeTalk, pregil! Belgium..... it is wonderful to have a member from another part of Europe!
I think you are asking if the conversion to 3-wheel trike using a kit is the best option. Is that correct?
