relocate relay box

I am restoring a 1990 1500 with a 1995 CSC Tour model kit. 40K miles, stored for about 17 years. Everything works,

lots of accessories,looks as new.

The body covers up the relay box on left side of trike. If a relay fails the body is so tight to the box it is not possible to

get to relays without removing body. Factory said "That's Tight" with no suggestions to remedy problem due to age of machine.

Anyone out there resolved this??? All help appreciated.

Your picture posted looks like a pet my wife and I had when we lived near Yosemite National park.

I saw previous posts for same problem with no good solution. Was hoping someone had come up

with a solution since then. This was my first posting as a newbie? will watch for more solutions???

Welcome aboard I have not seen a solution other then remove the body or cut the area out.

If you have enough room to access the bolt that secures the relay box to the MC frame, remove it. This may give you enough room to "rotate" the relay box enough to slide the cover off & access the relays (will depend on how the installer set up & centered your body, but it does work most of the time).
