Do you guys run with coil overs or torsion bars with plain shock abrorbers.
Torsion bars and plain shocks. I find it's a soft ride with and without a passenger.
Most trike applications I've had experience with run down the road good, and handle okay with "plain/OEM stock" type shocks.
Unless you tow a trailer or carry excessive loads, coil over type shocks are generally not needed.
But coil overs look so much better than the bland stock types in many folks opinion, myself included...

I'm running coil-overs, set at about half tension. Decent ride and handles great. My stock units were a bit soft, these seemed to clean it up nicely.

^.....That's another plus for coil overs I plum forgot about, adjustability of the rebound.

I backed off the torsion bars a couple notches. Then put on air shocks with one of those little compressors with the air gauge. Push button to add or remove air. Works great rides great. Adjust on the fly.
Currently, I'm running with stock style shocks.
It rides and handles great so I don't see the need for coil overs.
I would grab a set if they were on the cheap just for the looks.
I use coilovers with no torsion bars. 7-step adjustable spring rate provides good ride under any conditions. With early trikes I built that incorporated VW torsion bars I found that properly adjusted spring plates and good condition stock shocks provided excellent ride.
