GENERAL

    Kit Number

    26800120, 26800121, 26800128

    Models

For model fitment information, see the Retail Catalog or the Parts and Accessories www.harley-davidson.com

    Installation Requirements

When other accessories are installed to the main harness, an optional Switched Circuit Adapter Harness (part number 69201706) should be used in conjunction with this kit.

    WARNING

The rider's safety depends upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333a)

    NOTE

This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for your model motorcycle is required for this installation. One is available from a Harley-Davidson Dealer.

See Table 1. There are holes in the frame to support the use of Christmas tree cable straps (12) to help properly route a wire harness or secure spark plug wires.

When routing the spark plug wires (2) make sure there is enough clearance between the frame and engine assembly.

See Figure 1. Reposition right side spark plug wire boots.

    a. Remove cable straps from wires and frame.

The fan features switched On/Off/Auto operation. In the ON mode, the fan is active at low speeds, and turns off when the bike reaches 40mph. As speed drops, the fan turns back on at 35mph. In the AUTO setting, the fan operates based on a combination of speed parameters and specific engine and ambient temperatures.

I just had my local dealer install the fan on my 2017 FW about 2 weeks ago.

I can tell the difference. My son in CA. got me the fan from the dealer that sold me the trike.

My local dealer charged 1.5 hours labor & I was glad to pay it. I do all the routine maintenance including fluid changes, but I left this 1 to them. You have to have a dealer re-flash the system to update it. The mode the fan is in is displayed in the speedometer LCD display momentarily as you toggle through the 3 modes.
