Well we collect our Freewheeler next month and I've finally finished my leather seat and pillion pad. Loads of hard work and I reckon I've put a month of hours into it from start to finish. Really pleased with how it's worked out and will be taking to the dealer next week to fit on the new trike. Here's a few pics plus a link to some more in Flikr.https://www.flickr.com/photos/101580165@N08/DSC_0894 by Philip La Roche, on Flickr

That is one beautiful seat Phil, a real work of art in my opinion, thanks for posting the pictures.

Wow ! Great work!

Thanks everyone for the great compliments. It's been a labour of love to do but satisfying. I'm stoked with the result!!! Now I want our new ride so I can back in the breeze!!! I still have to wear a weird looking shoe on one foot but it won't stop me from riding!

I'll take some pics of it hopefully on the bike at the dealer this week when we drop it off. That should be fun. Thanks again.

WOW, Phillip! I am in awe! That is truly a work of art and a labor of love! It will make your Freewheeler an attention getter for sure. Can't wait to see it on your trike.

Really nice ... Like Kevin said ... all of a sudden your trike will be a one off ... and an eye catcher.

I'm gonna assume that someone with those leather working skills has taken into account the environment the seat will live in ... I don't know much about leather work, but I think it needs to be seal or oiled or something. Just a thought incase you haven't had it already.

I've sprayed it with an Acrylic sealant to fix the stain and to protect it from a downpour. Luckily we live in the South West of France and have plenty of sunshine throughout the year. I've also oiled the leather which is worth doing every now and then as it will add character over time.
