I wired mine direct to the battery because I'm using my plug for other things. Also I left the sensor off and just use the switch. Works great . You will remember to turn them off because with the bike motor off they make noise you can hear.

Jack, I have a 2015 FW but I hooked mine directly up to the battery too. I bought the Mighty Mites through Papa Zook and am very happy with them. You won't forget and leave them on, once you turn the motor off you will hear them. With the motor on you don't hear them.

Jack I went to the Battery after awhile don't waste time go direct to battery with proper fuse you know the procedure much more secure. Fred
