You will get different opinions, but on my 17 i did slip-ons and did no tune and it runs fine.If you change the air breather to a free flowing one then you should have it tuned.

I think you are aware if anyone but the dealer performs a tune whether it's a dyno tune or a Harley race tuner performed by your dealer your warranty is void.
A Power Vision tune can be undone before you go get service work but it's my understanding now that Harley can see if a tuner has been used due to a "counter" in the electronics. They don't necessarily know what tuner was used but they will know a tuner was used.
2016 Tri Glide
dealer Fitted Eagle Pro Street Tuner, Filter,Twin Slash Rounds, sounds good runs good
IMO the SE and Pro Tuner are a waste of monet
Even HD admits that now since they paid out some fines HMMM
The PV from DK Customs is WAY more adjustable by u not by some other company
ALSO many HD dealers are now using PV at an inflated price AND it WILL NOT VOID ur warranty JMO

I guess to each his own. I'm a happy camper with mine, Harley tuned it and I ride it. I don't fiddle with it , it runs good leave it alone.

67wizard, I agree 100% on the premise "runs good leave it alone" idea. I have had various tuners over the years and have settled on the PV w/TT module, and extremely happy with the way the bike runs. However, one of the hardest things to overcome is the idea of leaving it alone when it is running good. I have given that advise to many of my friends with the PV/TT set-up - i.e. When to leave it alone is the hardest part of using this set-up to auto tune your ride.
Hang in there, and if it runs good "leave it alone"!!

When u r 75 its easy to leave it alone. My fiddling days r long gone. HA

Any tuner is better than a download
IMO the PV is the best bang for your buck right now
All the others need a PC to load the info, and correct me if I am wrong most of them do not offer timing offsets like the PV?
