Charles, the AIM slave cylinder will reduce the pull more than the Rekluse slave. The piston is larger in it so more pressure is applied to the clutch rod. It doesn’t disengage the clutch as much as the Rekluse slave though but with the auto clutch it doesn’t matter.

Since I bought my bike I’ve been chasing better clutching. Started with the Oberon levers then the AIM slave cylinder and now the RadiusX Auto Clutch. It just arrived and I’m looking forward to trying it. This combination should be perfect

Steve, that is the combination I have just completed. Oberon levers, AIM slave and RadiusX Auto Clutch. I bought the RadiusX from Fuel Moto on sale. Rekluse claims that it should hold up fine for my 124. Weather has been too bad to get it on the road but it works real good for 10 feet in my garage. LOL

Dale, did you use the standard springs? Rekluse recommends the heavy springs for trikes. Heavy springs could increase the pull by 27% is what they say. I’m not interested in going backwards with the lever pull…I’ve been reading the install manual and it doesn’t sound that difficult. Might just tackle it myself.

I did use the heaviest springs; six small white springs and the three big yellow springs. The clutch pull feels like it stayed about the same for me because I was coming from the AIM SDR performance clutch. We should be able to adjust our Oberons down to possibly level "3" which we will only be using for quick gear changes like you stated in a previous post.

    You can do it.

Dale, you’re right the install looks pretty straight forward. I’m curious why you used the 6 white springs. The instructions say they are for idle speeds>1150rpm. I may try the standard springs first to see how it feels. If there is any slipping it’s easy to change them through the derby.

Thanks for the video. That 124 must sure be fun.

Also in the instructions regarding the white springs; "Engines with Stage 3+ modifications or modified cylinder heads /cams are recommended to be tuned to the High or Extra Highsetting."

Clutch engagement in the garage feels like it is right on. I am ready for this ice to melt to give it a proper test.

Yes, please post an update when you can.

I have bad arthritis in my left hand and was thinking the Rekluse could help with that by taking away the need to hold in the clutch in traffic snarls.

But I'm a little leery of doing it because of the "creep" and what some have said about constantly needing to adjust it - don't want that problem (I have enough already).

And it's a bit spendy to have it installed and not like how it works.

Wish the trike had a "real" automatic transmission!!

Thanks - looking forward to the update.

I would not worry about that creep. The initial adjustment should be fine for a long time as long as you’re not really super hard on the clutch. Even if you are super hard on the clutch I don’t know what effect that would have. I have had mine for 4600 miles and it is super nice to have at stoplights and so forth where you don’t have to Hold a clutch lever in. And it is nice and a lot of other areas also you get so used to it you’ll love it. Just get it installed properly and it should be a great long lasting fun thing to have. If I get another motorcycle I will definitely have one of these installed again.

    Default Rekluse clutch

Well I changed my clutch ram from 22 degree to 18 degree for more easy to disengage the clutch. Also got the clutch and brake handles to adjust the distance of pull. Now looking to get the Rekluse clutch kit. Been reading all the forum post on it. Now that some of you have had this product for a while what do you think. Why do some say it increases the pull pressure on the clutch handle. Is it that much. Uncle Arthor is killing my hand so looking for the right thing to do on my bike so I can continue ridding my Tri Glide. Thanks for any further info. Old Hippie.

I don't have a Harley. Was just looking through posts and remembered seeing this in another post in case you missed it: https://thefeatherlever.com/

Looks like another weak left hand solution FWIW.

To Old Hippie- Ive had the Rekluse for a couple years. I love it. The pull effort is not much different, maybe a bit easier. The great thing is not having to squeeze the lever the whole time at a stoplight, toll booth, traffic jam.

I had fun with it at Sturgis, when I was in traffic and noticed someone looking at my cluch hand not on the lever, I would give it a little gas and move a bit without touching the clutch lever. I saw a couple jaws drop. Hehe.

I don’t feel any creep, got it adjusted good at the beginning and haven’t had to readjust. Also, when I had the primary apart last summer, I took note of the adjustment when disassembling, got it the same after reassembly, still good.

It ain’t cheap but it will make you like riding again!

    Default Rekluse clutch

Thank you for the info on the clutch from Rekluse. Can't wait to get it installed. I do my own work on the bike If it doesn't require special tool's that only a bike mechanic has like line bore for transmission rebuild. The kit for the clutch is not cheap but if it makes the ride better on my hand then it will be worth the cost in the end. Have fun ridding and enjoy the open road.

You can easily do it yourself. Instructions are explicit.
