Ran into some New Zealand trikers

Passing Kennedy Airport in NYC yesterday evening rush. On the side of the Belt Pkwy is a White Gold Wing trike pulling a tarp covered trailer I would swear was big enough to hold another trike. I pulled over to see how they were. They were just lost. They had just completed a tour of all 48 lower states (36,000 miles) and needed to drop their trike and trailer at a shipping company that would send it to their next stop in the UK as they circled the world. I looked up the location on my Smart phone and gave them directions.
They said I was the only other person they had run into that had ridden all 48lower states.Off course it took me years. I feel like I have been slacking off in the riding department compared to them.
If anybody in the UK spots them, say hi. If anybody saw them in the US, now you know their story. I forgot to ask how bad their gas mileage was. I did notice they had a 5 gallon can strapped to the back. I wish I had thought to snap a pic. The traffic going by distracted me.

Now that's hunting out some old posts. Being 4 1/2 years ago, I can't remember exactly what they said. I'm sure they enjoyed the rest of their trip, though.
