AV71 Trike..bias or radial?

I was wondering about buying, but have been advised and decided to swear out my existing tyre first. However, when the time comes I would like to buy right.

http://www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/motorcycle-tires/avon-av71-cobra-front-trike-tire offers either a Bias or a Radial version of the AVon Cobra AV71 Trtike tyre.

Now I am confused. I have read a lot of guys saying it's a Radial and this will give a better ride even at higher pressures. I have also read quite a few posts saying that bias is better.

The Radial version is quite a bit more expensive. So which version should I buy?

Help?

Nick

Get the one that fits your ride.

The radial is an 18" and the bias is a 16".

Nick,

Why not install a Dunlop D404, 130/90H-(Your size wheel) Rear Tire with Reverse Rotation.

The D404 is inexpensive and performs well. My tire cost $82 dollars and $24 to install.

Whichever you purchase, always check the Manufacture Date, (Date stamp is four digits)

1117, eleventh week of 2017.

Ride safe,

God bless

I will give that some thought...BUT..here in Oz I am looking at _USD_$200 + delivered, plus whatever to fit, from an Aust online vendor. (just as likely again to be simply a US "conduit".

You find that here the sellers have a stock range of popular tyres and are not interested in "them funny ones"

Just a thought about reverse rotation rears on the front. IIRTC the tyres' treads are designed to take water from the centre of the tyre and squeeze it out the sides, via the widening and deepening grooves. If you reverse mount, won't that affect that effect? :)

Any advice appreciated.

Nick

BTW the Avon Cobra AV71 Trike seems moot for me: I have a 17" rim on the Valk.
