    Default MPG

Just curious what everybody gets for mpg, I know there are alot of variables to consider, motor work, air cleaner, exhaust etc etc. Mine is a 2016 stock with a power vision from fuel moto and their tune for what I have. Now granted this is not a accurate, but the last time I checked it I was getting 25 miles to the gallon, like I said I don't think this is a true accurate reading and maybe it is.

Just curious what everybody gets especially the stock ones, maybe I'm not far off, I know it weighs quite a bit and pulling 3 wheels instead of 2.

    All for now Trampas

36 - 38 mpg. My speedometer is pretty accurate according to all those mobile radar units I drive past. 2014 with 31k miles .... mostly 2-up riding in hilly PA. Front tire at 38 psi, rears at 22 psi. Stock de-catted with FL-Vied-10s at 62.5%.

With a strong headwind and over 70 mph, mpg really drop...I've gotten as low as 24 mpg.

    Normally at 75-80 I'll get 31-32 mpg.

Just yesterday I was running 75-85 with a moderate headwind for about 80 miles, then another 100 miles on secondary roads, varying between 45-65 with a sorta heavy wrist, overall was 33.9 mpg. (solo)

At 65 mph and less, mpg can vary wildly, all depending on how heavy the wrist is.

Over one weekend this summer in the Smokeys, I was riding relatively conservatively with a group. I ran thru 3 tanks, 1 at 39 mpg, another at 41 mpg, and another at 38 mpg. Those were all 2-up.

Typically riding off the interstate, with a heavy wrist, I get in the 34-38 mpg range.

This is on a '14 Tri-Glide with a proper Stage I and cooling. Front tire 38 PSI, rears at 21-22 PSI

There are little things that can be done that will increase your power, which will result in less throttle being needed to move on down the road...this results in better mpg.

I have take two road trips recently, and I have similar, but slightly worse MPG experience. I have stage I but not the engine cooling mods that Kevin has. I usually ride solo. When traveling at interstate speeds, I start looking for gas at 130 miles travelled. For local riding, I get 37-39, and don't remember ever getting 40 or better.

Mine is completly stock. Riding 2 up, I get about 35.5 mpg. Seems like a lot of head wind also.

My stock FW has ran from 29.7 to 46.6. It's better without the windshield. Average MPG since I bought it is 37.4.

To compare, my '02 Dyna with a carb averages 47.6...

Thanks for the replies, looks like I'm maybe off around 7 miles or so, like I said I don't think it was a accurate reading, will have to do better the next time when I check it.

Remember with only a 6 gal tank, And if your not running it to zero... You are talking about 5 gals or so....And so if you just miscalculate by just a few 10th's of a gallon when you fill up that will throw you figures off quite a bit...

I run solo most often. Around town, shifting about 3500 rpm, 33-ish. On trip to Sturgis this year: open road, respectable speeds, 40-ish. Above respectable speeds, 35-ish. Combo, 38-ish. 2015, 23k, Klockworks 8" smoke tint windsheild; stage 1 w/ SE cleaner, tuner and SE Street Cannons; DK lift kit and DK air deflectors. And btw, I'll add that the deflectors do in fact lower engine oil temps. Mine dropped about 15 degrees. J S (just sayin').

Mine is a 14 tri ridden 2 up most of the time. We do a lot of back road riding at 60 mph or less. RPMs are usually in the 2K -3K range when cruising. Most of the time we are in the 38 MPG range. We have gotten 40 a few times. With that said, the Tri also has a lot of mods. Motor has a drop on S&S 110 kit with CR570 cams and some head work with the CR set at 10:1. Exhaust is a Fullsac header with CVO cans and 1-3/4 Fullsac baffles. Since doing these mods it runs cooler and gets better MPG as long as you don't get twist happy.

We just got back from a 1600+ mile trip to west Texas. Wife and I and a FULLY loaded trike(2017 Ultra)averaged 34.6 for the entire trip. Bike had 5000 miles on it when we left.

Got an app on my phone and kept track all this season and averaged 34.4 mpg American gallon. Huge difference when driving into wind or in 6 th tear above 70 mph. But that was average

I average 34-35 mpg with mostly two-up riding. When I tow my tag-along trailer loaded, it drops to about 30.
