I have over a year left on factory warranty, Will wait till the end of it to get it replaced.

I haven't had the problem on my '17 TK ... yet. I wonder if it is repairable. There used to be shops that could remove the bezel and glass to repair instruments. If they still exist it would be easy to remove the drool. Anybody know of such a shop??

There's a couple of shops on e-bay that remove and seal but they do it when you have the internal lights changed to a different color. They change the LED bulbs.
