Lehman Wheels

As long as you stick with the same width and backspacing, I would think you would be ok.

I would take some measurements and check tirerack and discounttiredirect for 4 lug wheels.

I have an 08 Wing with the Lehman Monarch II conversion, is anyone aware of a four lug 15" rear wheel in the aftermarket that would fit.

ASA made the ones like on my '97 GL1500 SE / 1998 Lehman GTL trike .... same 15x7 size (7" inside rim mount lip to opposite rim mount lip inside ... outer lip to outer lip is more like 8") and same offset / lug pattern as Ford Mustang GTs with 15" ten hole wheels. Think like 'mid to late 1980s Mustang GT & Thunderbird Turbo Coupe ('85-'86). I do have a extra pair ASAs but shipping would be $$$

Whatever you do, measure close and understand the terms, space is limited
..... ;)

Red is trike, blue is our '85 Thunderbird with 10 spoke wheels I polished up.

4 LUGS ON 107.95 MM DIA CIRCLE (4.25" CIRCLE) 22.4mm +OFFSET (mount face / surface is 22.4mm offset towards outside of wheel from centerline. ). Not sure what a 08 Lehman used but I suspect near same?

I do appreciate the feedback. I' not sure who ASA is, but the pic of wheel with white lettered tire is close to mine in apperance. Are they chrome? You mentioned wheels for sale, please advise what and cost.

Remember that is a 7" wide wheel. If you have a 6" or an 8" wide wheel the offset is different. The original wheels used on the 2008 Monarch II were non-descript ASA wheels.

Not chrome, just clear coated polished aluminum.

The two spares I have look good but do have some scratches on rim faces that woul need to be spun polished out and a recoat to look as good as the two on our red '97. I also made two 1/2" thick wheel spacers when I went to narrower 215/70-15 tires in place of wider Lehman supplied Dunlop GT Qualifier 245/60-15s that were on it .... that 1/2" work perfect IMHO.

Lee H Mann was a Lehman dealer and is better versed on what will work on a 2008 without rubbing issues. I am not sure the ones on mine will work with yours? Offset /backspace / width / overall tire diameter & width will all play into it ..... you do not really want tires rubbing fenders.

I polished those T-bird ten hole wheels myself, no clear coat so they needed a light re-polish occasionally .... I also have a bunch of hours in a set of Cougar 16"x7" - 7 spoke wheels on my '92 Bird ... and made centers. Elbow grease.

... it's what I'd do with those Lee pictured ..... would look great .... if I was otherwise happy with them. Paint recesses grey or black maybe?

Pete, I just replaced my 245/60-15s with 215/70/15 and I don't have any rubs. Why did you put spacers in?
Just for looks, nothing else. Used 1/2" aluminum, MOrosso race car studs cut down so 1/2" longer than what was on it. Looks better IMHO than the tire sitting way back from fender, but does make for slightly harder tire / wheel removal. I run 22-25 psi dep on load / speed, but only ever ran 20 psi in them huge 245/60-15 Dunlops, centers still wore out first. Theses are 4 pounds lighter each, and 1" narrower in section sidewall to sidewall .... but I think closer to 1-1/2" narrower tread as I recall?

Would like tio find two more exact same Lemans SR 215/70-15 tires, (I think the same tire is now Lemans Touring SA ... but no nice lettering?) ... I like the lettering & smooth sidewalls. They are not made anymore AFAIK? I may replace with compromise 225/60-15 shorter tires ... cut studs 1/2", remove spacers next time .... just thinking.
