Is it worth the extra money for the adjustable back rest compared to the standard one. $37 compared to $219.

I talked to a FW owner about the adjustable. He said on a long day it was nice to change the adjustment. Claimed a little change made a big difference...

Love my adjustable on the Tri Glide. On longer rides, I find that my back, shoulders and even thighs want to feel different angles of support. Wouldn't be without my adjustable backrest that I can move while on the fly. It is sometimes difficult to get that Goldilocks position and the adjustment lever allows for that "just right" position any old time.
Being i’m the third owner I did not spring for that adjustable backrest it came with the bike so thank you to one of the previous owners however the adjustment is underneath the left wing so there is no access to it while riding I must move it Is it better than the stationary one I think so

I love my adjustable back rest but it is all I have had.
I removed the left wing to gain better access plus DK’s how to cool your bike list suggests removing it to help cool down your engine.

I've had both and Just my opinion the cheaper non-adjust does fine - and yes I make LONG trip - having the option of removal (on both) suits me also.
This ! Worth every penny imho. I should mention that I have the one made by Mustang Seats. https://www.mustangseats.com/Product...uring-No-Studs
