You can call H.O.G. at 1-800-club-hog. Or perhaps I can help. I've been doing ABCs for many years but this may be my last as they've really screwed the program imo.

I agree 100%. Now the prizes are just a gift card - big f$#@ deal. I liked all the branded ABC gifts. This also may be my last. Or at the minimum I'll just get photos of things on my route, not going out of my way to get any like I use to do.
I remember the first contest I did. The top prize (not counting the top monetary prizes) was a 1/4 scale metal model of the big twin engine. I thought that was really cool. Prizes have gone down ever since with the exception of a couple of them. It would have been fantastic if Harley gave a different section of a bike each year. Next year the frame, the next year the front wheel, etc. Can you imagine having a 1/4 scale model of your bike sitting at home???
My question is in regards to submitting photos. I liked the old way of sending in actual photos by mail. I just figured out how to submit a photo on line (very tedious). I want to know if I can submit all 90 photos at once in a file or do I have to send them individually? If so, it will take me days to do so. Do I have an option to send them by mail if I want to?

Must submit individual photos vs bulk upload. Reason being that each photo must be identified as to what category (city, state, county, etc.) and the name of that category. Basically H.O.G. like all the supermarkets and big box stores is outsourcing the work (self check out and in this case photo submission) to the customer. A neat way to save on personnel cost.
But with that being said I did earlier this year ask about mailing in the photos and was told that was still an option.
And as far as the 'prizes' go the gift certificate is only for Norscot H.O.G. merchandise. Whoo, hoo. Not much there of interest to me. As unappealing as the gift card is I would have preferred to get one I could spend at a dealership. Reason they are trying this I was told by the H.O.G. rep was to entice more people to participate. If you look over the list of participants they publish each year there are only a couple thousand and H.O.G. at one time boasted having almost a million members. But even if US members is say 250,000 the number that participate in ABCs of Touring is insignificant. I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the program - hope not but never know.
ultrafxr, you are correct on most parts. I liked the branded ABC prizes - they were kool. I agree about the gift card for dealers.
I have no interest in Norscott crap either.
I liked bragging about the ABC contest and the neat gifts you got.
Thanks for the tip about mailing in the photos. I'll try and get an official answer - won't hold my breath. I hope I can, otherwise I'm done with this. I don't have the time to post 90 individual photos for a measly "Norscot" $25 gift card. Maybe if I submitted each one as I got it, it wouldn't be so bad, but I thought I would be able to submit all at one time.
I have all my photos in a master file with a file marked for each category and the name of each place. Sending that whole file wouldn't be such a problem.
I doubt Harley fired anyone by doing this.

GARYD, yup the ABC awards were pretty nice several years ago but I noticed they started to water them down a few years back. And now this Norscot gift certificate is just the worst. Only reason to keep doing the program now is simply for the patch and pin. Have been doing it for over fifteen years and sort of hate to just stop but I am running out of room on my vest for the patches so maybe that is a sign, lol.
GREAT NEWS! I just got off the phone with Pierre. Yes you can mail in your photo's just like you did in the past. Just get an ABC's entry form to list all your entries and all previous rules apply.
That phone number is the start of about 4 forwards until you actually get someone from HOG. Surprisingly it went rather quickly. About 5 minutes to talk to a human.
They are also rethinking the prizes for next year because a lot of people are complaining. So, I guess Harley is listening........ Maybe, we'll have to wait until next year to see.
