Has there been an update of the map? I can't believe there are more registrants from Hawaii than Georgia.

The map you cited is the latest (5-15-18). I would expect that Teresa will post another map update soon, say within the next 7 days or so and when she does, I'll repost it here. Yes, it seems odd Hawaii and Alaska, for that matter, are represented by more attendees than Georgia and a few other states that have yet to announced their intentions. I suspect that the Hawaiians and Alaskans are planning on including more than the Deadwood Trike Rally in their travel plans. We're hoping that we'll have all 50 states represented by rally time (7-10-18).

Here's the latest registrants map for the 4th Annual Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally. We picked up 80 registrants since my last posting of the map, about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately we did not pick up any "new" states that I could quickly tell. To date, the following states have yet to be represented: Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, & Mississippi. I'm sure that we have TT members in each of these states and if you are from anyone one of the listed states, if I could, I would send out a personal invitation PM's to you. Since that's not possible, all I can say is, you and yours are surely welcomed to be part of our wonderful and exciting event. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. I thought it appropriate to direct you to a site that will be helpful to those that are planning to attend the Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally. Here's a link to a site that gives information on motorcycle safety tips, roads in the Black Hills area and their level if difficulty and South Dakota Motorcycle Laws, just to mention a few: http://www.southdakotarides.com/

Here's a map of the Black hills area that you might find interesting. Obviously the site is geared towards 2 wheelers (motorcycles) and not 3 wheelers (trikes), where one's skill level is more apparent and subject to discussion, simply due to the inherent design and limitations of motorcycle as compared to a trike. Balance, Traction and Braking are just three factors a 2 wheeler has to be keenly aware as compared to the same factors that influence a 3 wheeler. Regardless of what you ride, ride according to your abilities, riding defensively with safety always paramount.

For those of you that plan on attending the 2018 Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally and have signed up to participate in the group rides that are planned, here's a link you can click on that will direct you to where the particular ride destination is given and the planned route: http://d3wr.com/?author=1. I would recommend that you use the GMap (Google Map) link over the FBMap (Facebook Map) link. I was unable to get the FBMap link to work properly.

There's still time to pre-register and avoid the hassle and congestion which often happens, when waiting till rally time to register. This is our largest rally to date and I want to thank all the TT members who included it in their summer riding event activities.

Here's the latest revision to the schedule for the 2018 4th Annual Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally. The group picture was moved from Saturday to Friday to accommodate those individuals that planned to leave for home on Saturday morning. Teresa told me that this should be the final revision. Here is the latest registration map, as of Saturday, July 14th, at the close of the 4th Annual Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally. Again, I want to thank all TT members and their friends, that attended this years rally. I particularly want to thank again those that participated in my TT/T.O.I. Meet & Greet/Ride/Luncheon event. We were blessed with a bright, sunny and calm day, albeit a bit hot when we stopped for pictures. Mark your calendars of July 9th - 14th, 2019, as those are the dates for the 5th Annual Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally. I hope to see you in Deadwood next year!

Look who stopped by to pick up their 1st place 2018 D3WR Show n" Shine Trophies! Ed Sauter from Custer, SD won 1st place in the Sidecar division and Ernie Buhr from Gering, NE won 1st place in the Custom Division. Congrats! PLUS I think they are going to enter their trikes again on August 7th for the Three-dom Bike Show at the Buffalo Chip during the Sturgis Rally. GOOD LUCK Guys!!!
