    Default I Have Been Using This For 2 Months & Like It!

    It's called the Topside Oil Extractor.

    I used it on both our cars, my other motorcycle & the Freewheeler with excellent results.

    There are YouTube videos of people demonstrating it.

    Basically, remove the dipstick & measure it next to the tube and add a couple inches. That way you know you have the suction tube fully inserted into the dipstick/fill hole. Then clamp the tube off & pump the handle 20 times & release the clamp. The oil will then start being drawn into your oil can.

    I used it on the Freewheeler for the motor & tranny & it worked great. I moved it around in each reservoir to ensure I got all the oil & it did. You hear a massive sucking sound when it's done. The tank holds 2 gallons.

    I did not try sticking it down in the derby cover for the differential fluid, I pulled the plug & drained it the conventional way

    If there was 1 downside it's that it is a little slow, but it gets it all.

    I paid $45 for mine.

    1 other note, there are a lot of models out there, most with plastic tanks & numerous complaints of the tanks collapsing.

    It comes with extra caps so when it's full you remove the pump & suction line, cap it & carry it to were you recycle you oil.

    I'm lucky, I'm surrounded by Auto Zone, Advanced Auto Parts & Jiffy Lube & they all take used oil

    I have the same item and bought it primarily to use on my lawnmower(s) which are a PIA to drain. Have used it a couple times on the bike. But I think I'll stick with the drain plug at least every other time as I'm unsure how the rubber O ring on the plug will hold up long term. Perhaps I'm being a bit too cautious but sometimes the O ring on the engine drain plug looks pretty ragged when I've pulled the plug to drain the oil.

    Does it get all the oil out of the filter...Or after you get the oil out then you change the filter..

    O- Rings are very expensive ? Picked up a bakers dozen for $5.00 . The trans / oil is the same.

    It has nothing to do with the filter, it vacuums the oil out of the reservoir. You service the filter as usual.

    Well no, O rings are not expensive but if you suction out the oil and then pull the plug to install a new O ring why not just drain the oil that way? Just sayin'.
