It's called the
Topside Oil Extractor.
I used it on both our cars, my other motorcycle & the
Freewheeler with excellent results.
There are YouTube videos of people demonstrating it.
Basically, remove the dipstick & measure it next to the tube and add a couple inches. That way you know you have the suction tube fully inserted into the dipstick/fill hole. Then clamp the tube off & pump the handle 20 times & release the clamp. The oil will then start being drawn into your oil can.
I used it on the
Freewheeler for the motor & tranny & it worked great. I moved it around in each reservoir to ensure I got all the oil & it did. You hear a massive sucking sound when it's done. The tank holds 2 gallons.
I did not try sticking it down in the derby cover for the differential fluid, I pulled the plug & drained it the conventional way
If there was 1 downside it's that it is a little slow, but it gets it all.
I paid $45 for mine.
1 other note, there are a lot of models out there, most with plastic tanks & numerous complaints of the tanks collapsing.
It comes with extra caps so when it's full you remove the pump & suction line, cap it & carry it to were you recycle you oil.
I'm lucky, I'm surrounded by
Auto Zone, Advanced Auto Parts & Jiffy Lube & they all take used oil
