Greetings from Southern Maryland,
I have been a rider for many years and in the past 4 years have accumulated some 75,000+ miles on two wheels. Last year I had a couple mishaps, my old legs were having trouble holding up "The Beast" and I laid it down. That was the easy part..... tilting it back on two took most of my energy and then some. I therefore started researching Trikes. I came here to read others comments and 'do's n don'ts'.
I rode several trikes (TRIGLIDES) and my DW had a hard time adjusting to the feel, she was very uncomfortable with the way it felt going around turns. I understand and since she is always my passenger and she needs to be as comfortable as I am. We opted to get a two wheeler again, this time a little lower center of gravity and shorter saddle height for my old stubby legs. It is named "Beauty" and resided besides "The Beast" in the garage. It is 5 months old and now has over 10,000 miles. My thoughts are if I can't hold this one up it will be triked with a custom kit, instead of the manufacturer's kit.
Thanks for the ad, hope you enjoyed the read as much as I have enjoyed reading others comments.
Merry Christmas,
W3BY
