tire question
I have a 2005 Suzuki c50 with lehman tramp conversion, it has a 195/65/r15 tires on rear dated 2005, i'am alittle leery about a tire that old, the specs say 205/60/r15 the conversion was factory built question is if I put the 205 on will I have any clearance problems, as of right now I can only fit my index finger between the tire and edge of fender

If there’s no room for error now, then stick with what works now. 195vs205 , yup, it’s bigger.

All of the Tramps I have had dealings with had 205/60/15 tires. The 195/65 would be easier to get off and on.
If you have wire wheels on the rear, be careful when breaking the tires down. There is a sealant strip that covers the spoke nuts inside the wheel to keep a tubeless tire from leaking. Do not disturb that strip or it may start leaking from the spokes.

the 195's that are on there were made in 2005, bike was stored inside, I don't see any cracking and tread looks like new, should I feel safe using them
Look ... the tires cost less than $100.00 each. I would replace them because of their age and the fact you are in Florida where tire temps can easily run over 160 degrees. Peace of mind while riding is another reason.Originally Posted by jack1576

what Jim said .... there's a reason they put dates on them ...5 years is about as long as the manufacturer is willing to bet the tire won't let you down ...you determine the cost of your own piece of mind
