Gold Wing intercom set up

We just bought a 2006 Goldwing Trike. I am looking for advice on what to get to use the intercom system. My wife will be riding with me so we need a dual setup. Helmet to helmet as well as CB/radio. What do I need and where do I get it. <br />

Many like the eddy sets. I like the J&amp;M. <a href="http://www.chromeworld.com" target="_blank">Goldwing Motorcycle Parts and Accessories</a> had a great deal on them . They were running about $59.00 each (you need 2)

The big three seem to be J&amp;M, Edsets and Air Rider. J&amp;M has been around a long time, lots of folks own and are happy with them. <br />

We have Air Rider, customer service has always been top-notch, theyound very good for voice, pretty good for music. (Bass is a bit light, turned it up on the EQ section of the Mp3 player we use.)<br />

I have tried out J&amp;M, they have different levels of price and quality. The ones we tried were the bargin ones, sounded OK until we heard the Air Riders. Have since tried the top-lever units, and they seem to be about the same price and sound as the ones we have.<br />

Borrowed some Edsets, sounded very good for voice and music, had the best bass response of the ones I've tried. If I ever need another set, Edsets will be the one. <br />

Haven't tried them, but IMC makes sets at a very reasonable price, and they have a model to use with no helmet or half helmets without attaching anything to the helmet itself.<br />

There are also stand-alone units like Nady, Scala, Chatterbox,etc. Have not tried any of them myself.<br />

For the same money they seem all to be in the same neighborhood as far a quality and sound, with only minor differences.<br />
<br />
Then there is Bluetooth versions without wires, things like the Kennedy Cellset to integrate GPS, cell phones, etc into the system, wind noise eliminators-any thing from plastic shields to mic switches of all kinds. <br />

Do an internet search on "motorcycle intercom" and you could spend the next week or so with manufactures sites, reviews, vendors, etc.

I had the chatterbox ($99.00 each ) they fell apart after 3 years.
I have the no helmet IMC They hurt your head after a short time . I never ride no helmet . Don't even know Y I bought them .. Oh yea thought they would work with a 1/2 helmet. NOT

We have J&M in our half helmets and our 3/4 helmets. Purchased the helmets with the systems pre-installed,very satisfied with their products.

J & M all the way for Wifey & me. But as the good folks above have said: You essentially have 3 choices. I'd rank 'em J & M; Ed-Sets; Air. IMC OK. Used 'em number of years on my Yamaha sport tourer...OK but, IMHO, not in the same league as the other 3. G'Luck!!

If you are looking at Nolan helmets, the N-Com system is the way to go. Built into the helmet. If you buy the N-Com from the same place as the helmet, they usually will install for free.
