I put 11" Santee bars on my HD trike years ago - love them/would consider going higher if ever need to replace them or decide to buy a new one.
NO adverse effects/issues.

welcome aboard Richard. I believe a lot of members have with great success. Exactly how it effects an individual trike will depend of that trike. A lot of variables.

I could not stand the short bars, that came on my 17 TriGlide. I replaced them with the 12" 2 + 2 Sweeper's from Khromeworks. Rode with them for 8,000 miles. They were ok, but wanted a different wrist position. I bought these, and could not be happier, they are 12" custom bend;

put 13" hard drive bagger apes on my 2010 trike. 38" between gripes helps the steering.
Welcome from just down the road. Stay safe!
