I bought a used 2016 with less than 10k on it and was wondering is it worth it to have the radio/gps set back to factory settings or wiped clear of the stuff that's in there

I have tried to follow steps 1-5 but the radio never turns on to display the <accept> button. Just curious if it may be a serious defect or if something to do with the fact I updated the Software Version from the stock 1.18.0 to 1.22.0.1 on March 14, 2020. Perhaps there is a new way with that version to get to the maintenance menu to initiate the factor reset? There are two reasons I want to attempt the reset. 1. the bluetooth just sits at initializing and 2. I messed up the navigation by selecting All by mistake and it will not allow me to now delete each entry as it just will hang when I try.
