Makes no sense to me. If the OEM battery is weak - change it out for a new one. Simple as that.

The electrical system on a Goldwing (even a GL1500) should be more than strong enough to run every accessory known to man. Maybe the owner is running a short wave transmitter off his bike???

Might be a nice upgrade. More capacity and heck of a lot cheaper, if you can afford to loose that space in the trunk.

I had done some research a while back for the Freewheeler & this was the best warrantied battery I could find. It's on my list for when my OEM battery passes away.

Check out their Red Banshee battery. It has the best warranty I have ever seen on a motorcycle battery.

Also, if you check Walmart's website, they carry them for a lower price.

That is only a 310CCA battery. I think your OEM is 320CCA. 4 year warranty is great but a warranty doesn't help you when you are 50 miles from home on a Sunday afternoon, it only makes your pocket feel better on Monday.

Not sure what battery your referring to. The Banshee battery for the Freewheeler is a size 30L & it's rated at 385 CCA.

Not sure what your point is with the warranty time, but most batteries have a 6 month warranty. I'll go with the 4 year one for the same price.

Looks like they have a minor screw up on their web site.. Might warrant some investigation if the cca difference is important.

Don't get me wrong here .... you have plenty of time to make a decision. I just have difficulty getting a battery on-line period. The warranty may justify the purchase in a apples-to-apples situation, but in reality you are relying on the integrity of some guy with a Chinese product and a keyboard for a warranty.

If you could put a GL1800 engine in your Harley and get a 100,000 mile warranty and it was also cheaper, WOULD YOU ???

I did the on line battery thing once, lasted 6 months. After research of the bat numbers, it seemed to have been on the shelf for at least 3 yrs . Never again. By the time I shipped it back, along with a phone argument I ended up eating it. Live n learn.
