I really like the look of the single coil spring.

Are they just coil springs from a car?

Wouldn't that bounce a lot with no shock?

Good question

My guess is modern springers probably use a variable rate spring, akin to a Moog car spring

On my old Paugho Springer the lower rockers ( off the front axles) absorbed the bounce since there was no shock for dampening

The longer the rocker the MORE dampening

Thats my story and I'm stickin 2 it;)

your eyes are better tan mine. To me it looks like the other leg of the fork.

Being coil overs would make scene. Although it would be a big coilover
