For those of you that haven't seen this, HD has a new firmware update for the HD branded 20S EVO headset. The new version is 1.7.6. HOWEVER, if you go to the HD Boombox software page and look for the 20S EVO updates, it still (as of last night) shows the 1.7.5 as the latest. BUT, if you hook your 20S EVO up and run the HD device Manager Software, it will show you that the new firmware 1.7.6 is available.... and it will install it.
Also, the 1.7.6 firmware has been available for several days for the regular Sena branded 20S and is available on the Sena web page. There doesn't seem to be any difference in the two updates. You can even use the HD manager to update a "non HD" Sena 20S, and it works fine. BUT... it DOES NOT convert it to give stereo high quality sound and it does not let you access the MENU in the Boombox to change the settings like it does for the HD branded 20S. We all sure wish that it would, but I can't see HD allowing that.
According to Sena the 1.7.6 made the following changes or "improvements" on the 20S EVO Firmware v1.7.6.
.Improved HD Intercom performance
.Minor bug fixes in intercom pairing
.Minor bug fixes in voice command recognition
I assume, since the HD updater is also using this update, that these are minor changes for even the HD Sena 20S, but does not change any of the HD PROPRIETARY settings.
There are no new updates for the WHIM module at this time.
