Pull Behind Trailers

I posted this in the trailer section but haven't received any feedback, hoping to get some feedback from Freewheeler riders that pull a trailer, Thanks.

I've been thinking about getting an aluminum trailer to pull behind my Freewheeler and I've nailed it down to either a Aluma MCT or the smaller Lumina (USATRAILERSTORE). I can get the Lumina and hitch for less than just the Aluma MCT by itself. Anybody pulling the Lumina and what are your thoughts?

I have never towed a trailer, but that Lumina looks nice.

Personally, I would like to tow the hot dog cart. I could make some $$$ at every stop, plus get my own lunch.

I've been pulling an Aluma MCT for about 12 years. If I had it to do over, I'd buy it again.

Many, many thousands of miles and the ONLY thing I've done to it is put new tires on it. Not because they were worn, just getting old.

You can spend more on fancier trailers but you wont find a better trailer.

I know nothing about the Lumina.

I looked at the Lumina as well as the MCT. MCT went home with me. I sold that and now have an MCTXL. Aluma builds them to last a lifetime. Compared to many other trailers they are a great price.

I hear ya Keystone, the more I'm thinking about it Aluma MCT is the way I'll probably go, but the $500.00 price difference still has me looking at the Lumina.

Thanks for the feedback Mike, Aluma MCT is probably what I'll end up getting. I think the Lumina's are Chinese made and assembled here in the US by a few different companies but the $500.00 price difference has me still considering them.

I bought an Aluma MCT last year and have towed it about 3,000 miles right after I got it. Did the BRP and many nice roads through NC, Georgia, Tennessee etc. I had it well loaded and didn't even know it was back there. I bought mine used off CL, think I paid either $850 or $1,000 for it. Great trailer, highly recommend them.

JMHO, trailers are just like garages, you will fill it up quicker than you think. Get the bigger one.
