My switch assembly woes continue. I had the new assembly installed by my dealer. Yea, the trigger switch is working and all is well. Well almost, the bike will not start in gear. The clutch switch is defective. Next woe, surprise a new part number 71500236B as the A part number has been superceded. It's also on back order and won't be in till after my departure next week for Daytona. I had my old bad switch put back in as I would rather not have a bike that can't start in gear. I will now have to make a note of my mileage to keep myself from running in to low fuel problems. Here's hoping for a warm Bike Week.

Just weird. I can say this is the first for any Harley I've owned. Other than the switch the trike has worked flawlessly since I've owned it.

It is a shame HD has to deal with Delphi and other cheap electronics from Mexico to keep costs down so the bean counters are happy

My 15 FLRT throttle by wire went down, that part also made in Mexico

Next was the LS switch half, not once but twice

You do not want to be spraying anything in the controller (they are not called switches anymore) on the newer bikes and trikes. They are no longer simple contact switches but are electronic controllers with tiny microprocessor chips inside. It is almost never a mechanical issue, but an electronic issue.

This is why they cost so much and they are falling in mass numbers. They are 'Assembled in Mexico', but I'm sure the components are most likely China made.

Here is a fog light controller pack I just replaced this weekend on a 2015 CVO Ultra. The one on the left is of course the new one, the one on the right is the fried one.

Good eyes. It's a switch for a Street Glide. Just wanted to point out the trigger switch on the assembly
