clutch lever for small hands

Installing the "Softbrake" clutch lever did the trick for me. The clutch "friction zone" and engagement point is closer to the grip. That helps solve quite a problem for this ole guy dealing with both small hands and arthritis in my thumb joints. I thought I would be looking at some type of automatic clutch. After a couple of days riding with the Softbrake, I'm now good to go!

The instructions that cfame with my Clutch Softbrake was === "How to file it down, so as to be able to start it in gear.It worked, (after Filing) But if I had to re-order, or to advise - I wold say - look elsewhere.

I rec'd and installed my Softbrake reduced clutch lever a few weeks ago. Very simple install, took me 10 minutes. A direct replacement. I have about 40 miles on it now and love it. I even installed the reduced reach brake lever. My opinion.....would highly recommend.

Peddler, Nuc. I used Softbrake for my '16 TG clutch lever. I did have to grind a bit on the inner surface of the lever to get it to clear the switch when I had it pulled in, but it really wasn't hard to figure out. I also talked with the company and they were happy with the feedback. Maybe they are better about the clearances now? At the time, they had a spare trike lever laying around and sent that to me before I sent them my stock one. I did not lose any riding time.

Thanks for all the information guys. I would never have known about the Softbrake clutch lever. Ordered it Friday, installed it Monday. Took it out for an hour or so this morning and to me, the difference is amazing. The awkward feeling is gone and it just feels right!

Where is position 1 on the osberon?

There was no instructions other than how to install the lever.

I cannot get the lever to allow starting in gear on my 16 Trike.

Not to sound like a wiseass but the #1 is just below the #2...As you are looking down at the knob, Turn it as far as it gos to the right, That will be #1....That said i use only #2 .

Sometimes at #1 it won't let it start in gear....

Your not a wise ass, thank you, I was not sure if 1 was full to the right or to the full left. I do not see any marking on my knob.

There is a very small sight hole on the knob....And it gos from 8 down to 1...

Like i said, Me, I have need for #2 only....

I just put the softbrake.com clutch lever on EZ. you must return your old lever to them. Shipping both ways is covered by softbrake. No complaints

Do you have to turn in your old clutch lever and brake lever if ordering from softbrake? I have no desire to turn in the original parts!

Their prices are with exchange of your lever. I bet they will sell you one outright, but I didn't ask about the extra charge.

I purchased some used ones from Ebay and sent those in for the exchange, just in case. I do have both the clutch and the brake and really like mine. I also have the reduced reach brake pedal they sell.
