Oil Change

For those of you that do your own service, what oil do you use? Ever since I got the Stallion I've been changing the oil with Motocraft Synthetic Blend 5W30 every 5000 miles. I noticed in the owners manual that it says to use 5W20 in one section, but in another section it says to use 5W30, except in Canada where it says to use 5W20. Which is correct? Since I live in AZ, where it really doesn't get that cold, which is the correct one to use? Inquiring minds want to know. By the way, I do ride in below freezing temps in the winter. Last week on our breakfast ride it got down to 19 degs for a little while. Thx Rick

I have used Castrol 5W-30 since day one. Have 65K chg. every 5K.

It's been too long & don't remember which is a typo.

My .02 is use what the oil cap says as a general rule of thumb. The engines were sealed & filled with oil when received & the caps were also installed at that time from Ford so you know it's gonna be right.

Thanks Richard. I guess I'll switch to 5W20 at the next oil change.
