Default Testimony on using Lee H. Mann for Lehman parts!

    Hello everyone,

I was in search of a rear brake master cylinder rebuild kit as I started having issues with the brakes failing on my 2007 c90 Suzuki. The OEM piston cup and O-ring were starting to deteriorate. Jim had the cartridge that I needed and it was delivered on the exact day he said it would be. Two thumbs up and good job Jim. Thank you,

I do not know what I would do without Jim's help. Lehman certainly has not provided any. Thanks Jim.

I am absolutely humbled by the overwhelming positive replies to my assistance to the Lehman Trike owners who are members of Trike Talk. I work my hardest to keep the Lehman name in the forefront and will continue my search for replacement parts needed by all Lehman owners.

    Good evening,

I am the new kid on the block at 71 and every question I have asked, Jim was there is concise, timely and to the point answers.

This gentleman is a diamond in the rough and I will be asking a lot of silly questions as Trikes are a whole new thing for me.

    Default Appreciation

Thanks again to Jim Murphy for his advice on driveshaft maintenance on my 1500

trike/early Lehman conversion. I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future.

    Default My Experience

A little while back, I called Jim about a brake problem on my older Tour conversion with drum brakes. He asked what it was doing and I explained that it pulled real hard to the right when I applied the brakes in the rain. He stopped me and explained that the brakes were supposed to be equipped with a rubber inspection cover in the back plates, and that one of them was probably missing, allowing the brakes on that side to get excessively wet, thus the pulling. He suggested I clean the brakes and replace the inspection covers before I spent a fortune on parts I may or may not need. He also explained how to adjust the brakes, saying they may just need that.

Long story short, Jim took a good deal of time out of his busy day to explain in great detail what I needed to look for before spending any money on the bike. Given the age of the bike and conversion, I would have been content to just spend the money and do the brake job. But he went on to explain that even if the bike was converted from day one, given the mileage there wasn't enough weight there to wear the brakes even half way.

I'm recovering from a surgery a few weeks ago, so it'll be some time before I can inspect anything to be sure, but by taking the time that he did and sharing his expertise, Jim most assuredly saved me a ton of hassles and money. Anyone else would've just sold me the parts without batting an eye. That's what I call a stand-up parts guy. We definitely need more guys like Jim in the business. Kudos, my friend!

    PEACE, and ride safe!

Default Credit Where It's Due, Folks!

Just a follow-up on my previous post. I finally got into the rear brakes, and everything Jim said I'd find was there. Jim, the shoes and drums were practically new, just as you said they would be. A quick cleaning and adjustment, and they work good as new! Again, I can't thank you enough for your time and expertise!

Guys like Jim are just one more example of why I stay on this forum, and why I became a Gold Member. Thanks my friend, and thanks to Zook for giving us a home where we can help each other out.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Jim for all the help he has given me on a 2012 GL1800 / Lehman Monarch II.

Its a pleasure talking to someone that is a Lehman master and willing to help and advise Trike owners.

Thanks again Jim for all that you do.
