I cannot wait until I can get a senior apartment. The wind in Deming is gusting to 65mph or better. I went out to get the mail, there was a loud crash and the camper blew over. Thank God I wasn't in it.

Holy Christmas, you gotta be living right. That RV would have been blown a long way during Irma in Florida.
God was watching over me. The bucket of mop water is probably everywhere and soaked into the dinette area cushions. I had a new bottle of milk in the refrigerator and everything is probably Topsy-turvy. Thankfully I didn't have my Apple laptop in there, a friend gave it to me. The Wind has been relentless today and hasn't let up. If I had been inside at the time, I could not get out from the way it fell over and resting on the steps. I'd have to call 911 and have the fire department cut a skylight to get me out.
I have a meeting at the housing authority on March 20th to do paperwork. Apartment hunting will begin shortly after.

Glad you are ok. The wind is always nasty this time of the year. Many years ago I had a camper like that. When I took it off the truck I placed it on a couple of boards on the ground and the back was facing the west, which is the way most of the wind comes from. Hopefully you will get things set up and moved into a safe place soon. Jim

The truck belonged to someone else and they set the camper up for me. It's scary that the wind is that strong and blew the unit over. Reminds me of hurricane season in Florida and how easily stuff blows around in a strong wind.

Thank you all. If I was sitting at the table when it went over I'd probably been eating lunch at the table. I'm going to put one of these outside the camper. I have a meeting on Tuesday with the housing authority and will be looking for a place in town close to shopping.

Did you get the camper upright or are you staying somewhere else? With all the snowbirds being there it may be hard to find a place.
i have some connections in Deming, if you are not having any success in finding a place I will put you in contact with a couple of churches that may be able to help.

Wow, Sure glad you're ok. The wind also kicks up pretty hard up here in nw New Mexico as well, couple years ago a full size trampoline got tossed up into the utility poles good thing it didn't short out the transformers. Took a pic and sent it to KOB News and shown on the evening broadcast.
Just me, myself, and I riding my V8 on the Rez.
