Keeping the fob on the bike never worked for me. On my previous Ultra, prior to getting the TG, we trailered on an open Aluma every summer. I tried tying one fob on the handlebars and that didn't keep the 4 ways from flashing on rough roads. Then I tried putting my spare fob in the windshield bag plus kept the other fob on the bars, still didn't keep it in going off. I think many that do this transport in an enclosed trailer and just don't realize it isn't working.
I would have to count my signal flashes after putting it in travel mode, not sure about that part, but the light on the dash still blinks when in that mode.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting...Holy Sh!t What a ride!
Hey My Friends,
If you're trailering and its not in Travel mode you'll wear down the battery and could damage the battery to the point you'll need to replace it. Know that done that!!!
Spoke with my granddaughter who works for BHHD during rally, she informed me about the damage that could happen.

Hell, just ride it. It's an adventure for us.

Texas tried putting a salt brine spray on the roads this year when it got a little icey then the rain washed it off. Now we’re out of ice season and the roads are clear. We just don’t very often get the heavy ice problems for long periods of time like the states further north. Locally, they usually put sand down on the bridges only but they did try the salt brine this year....then we had a very dry winter in the region. Further east in the state they had a lot of rain but not much ice. When they first put the brine down you could see a white chalky film on the road but not anymore.

For those of you that live where they salt the roads....If you are hauling the Trike on an open trailer, won't it still get that crap all over it?

Thats why I have an enclosed trailer. 36 miles to Dealer. So much crap on the roads, they look white. Dealer will not even test ride till salt is gone. Luckily calling for at least 3 days of rain starting Tues.
when you get it ready for trailering and you go to the ignition switch.......... turn on - then off - then immediately hold in both signals at once for a moment and release.... (a few seconds later both signals will flash 3 times together.................your now ready to trailer! .....NOTE: this only deactivates the alarm (flashing lights for most of us I suspect)...The red security light in the center of the dash will continue to intermittently blink as it always does.
....last year, the first time I trailered my TG I forgot to do this............got to first motel and decided to "Just Check the TG" and be sure all was well.........hit the start only to find I had a dead battery! ........what a bummer! (and the truck had no jumper cables = DOUBLE bummer!)
...anyway, after I got the battery charged back up later..I then deactivated alarm as stated above.......and trailered the TG another 1500 happy miles!
......very embarrassing to say the least.
