This is why I wanted the front end done ahead of time. Issues came up and it gave us time to over come them. talked with shop they were swapped so it was no big deal if mine sit a day or so. The panel the covers ignition switch was not lining up so that needs some custom work. Bike looks different with the trike front end but hard to really get a feel for the looks with the front fender still off. Front stabilizer was being installed near closing time yesterday.

Issue that came up were not serious ones. They were a result of the RG faring fit .

When you step outside the box expect a few stumbles.

Front end is on more details latter. The wheel base in 4 inches longer now. As for handling with the rake/longer tubes and change in trail. It Handles great, better than it did new IMO.

It feels a little different for sure. Phase One is done. Next order the Sidecar.

To those that say once raked you can't ride it with out the sidecar. They need to try it when done right it works.

RGU faring supports removed and replace with an internal support, TRI Glide steering Stablizer installed.

Close look you will notice the rake

The Front end is done. We had some fab work to do with the RGU faring but all went well. It handles like a dream.

Lowers will not have to come off. They have the Radiators in them on the m8. End up going from 26 degree factory rake to 32 degrees . Wheel base is 4 inches longer now. Front fork tubes are 2 inches longer also. I pretty much have a whole front end sitting in the bike room now. Part, labor added up to $3,300. I am happy with that had budgeted a little more.

I wanted no short cuts on this and maybe went a bit over board, but it worked out great

Thunderstorm right now . Soon as it stops going for another ride on it.

300 miles on it now with the new front end Bikes handles well. The classic twin will be ordered for delivery first week of 2 in October

Soon as the Car is installed I will. Dealership has done it several times All the do is move the Engine guard forward a bit. A bracket for any mounting position can be made.

While visiting Hannigan had a chance to see where the make mounts and customize anything they need to.

two of the mounts for the Street I made, while so many were saying it can't be mounted.

They have mount hack on Liquid cooled head Rushmore both after market and Hd one that had been restored.

read this thread shows one for a Champion.

    lol

for me if you can ride it as a two wheeler comfortably once the 3rd wheel goes on it will steer hard than what i like... but thats just me... when the trail gets down around 1.5 in or so 2 wheeler is pretty unstable up to about 30 or so but thats just me as far as "done right" other than choosing the wrong amount of trail pretty tough to mess it up...

Well I know of 3 2014 or newer wet heads done the same way that all work perfectly. 1 has an HD side that was refurbished, 1 a liberty and the other a Champion.

I have not figure out your point you seems to say it can't be done but it is done. Both my others bikes I have been able to use safely and with no problem with or with out sidecar.

I am sure it can be messed up but that does not mean it can't be done.

700 miles of mixed riding with the front end work done about 110 of that was two up. The bike handles fine without the car on it. The order for the car will be placed in the next couple weeks and setup for first week of October to be delivered.

Here we go. Just placed the order for the Sidecar, first week October delivery. More details to follow when I get the paper work to sign and return. There goes a new bike in August. The cash will go to the sidecar.

Signed the order and emailed it back.

When ordered I set 1st week of October for delivery as the must have time. There is a chance in could arrive toward end of August if so it would get installed early September.

Nice part all of that is done now even the shipping is taken care of.

The Sidecar all that I have added to it crating shipping taxes ect. $10,083.

    Classic twin sidecar

    Mag Wheel upgrade

    ECC

    Spoiler / light

Cup Holder Granddaughter made it clear , it must have a good cup holder.

    12 V /dual USB ports

    Seat belt

    Convertible top

    Color match paint

    Crating

    Freight

    Tax.

All quick disconnect mounting hardware is included . If all goes well there should be no fabrication need for the install direct bolt on adjust and go. It so the project should come in close to the budget.

Not including a ride down to watch some of the building.

Yesterday I placed the order for the Classic twin sidecar. We had a long conversation about the mounting, because I am having a local dealer install it .

Hannigan assured me it will be a direct bolt on and there will be no issues with the hard lowers and radiator in the lower. I requested delivery no latter than first week in October , however they said it may be ready by August. When it is installed I will provide you with detailed pictures of how they made the Brackets.

The Dealer that will be installing mine has done custom installs on other wet heads. In those cases they were refitting older HD cars to newer wet heads.

I would have just rode down and had Hannigan install it except for a couple things. I like to keep some of my spending Local when possible . Normally I trade Touring bikes every couple years, with the cost of doing this conversion, there will be no trading in 2018.

They let me know today that August 31is their target date to finish it. Little of a month sooner than I set as when I had to have it . That works out even better for me.

ECC (electric camber control). Who has used one ? I have never used one , it seemed like a good idea on the Classic twin.

best thing going for any 3 wheeler. helps compensate for the crown in the road and the load or lack there of in the chair.. just a little tweek keeps you from a constant pressure on the bars..

for me if it has stock trees an no ecc i dont want to ride very far. but thats just me

This new one is a big step. The other one is a basic setup and has worked well for what we use it for and far exceeded what we had wanted. When we decided to do this one from the start we did not want short cuts. The larger car would not be as forgiving.Looking forward to the first ride .

I have seen the ECC on one ,but choose not to ride it at that time , to much going on.

Things are going as planned about a month ahead schedule. looks like about $1,500 over the budget I set . Reasons I added a few things, and need a few more parts to make the RGU faring work right. Once you decide on spending for a project like this may as well get what .

Trike looks interesting, is that all build or a kit? Down the road the Street 750 may get a Frankenstein kit .

Down the road the Street 750 may get a Frankenstein kit .
no kits here everything is 1 off
