Long Ride Taka windshield

I'm thinking of ordering the Longride Taka windshield for my 2008 Wing. I would like some feedback on any fitment issues, quality and passenger opinions.

I have heard that trimming of mount points is sometimes required. Also passenger noise, plus or minus from stock.......Opinions please. Thanks.

Get yourself an F4 and you will never need to buy another one.

I had two Long Ride shields. The first wouldn't fit and had to be replaced. The second I kept on way too long and now have an F4+4 and am happy.

My LRS scratched terribly when moved up and down as needed for weather.

MY LRS did not stop my head buffeting except in full up position which put the "recurve" right in front of my eyes.

My LRS collected water droplets in the "recurve" portion of the windshield at 60 mph indicating that no air flow was present. What was it doing then?

Since changing to the F4 I and co-rider have noticed a great reduction in ambient noise, head buffeting reduced to near zero, and a shield that is crystal clear. Just saying.

The F-4 is an excellent windscreen. I wish they would have covered the bottom of their windscreen with black simiiar to the stock shield. I like that look!

I haven't found anyone unhappy with the F4

I have the Long Ride shield 2in over stock on a GL1800 . The wife and I love it. We have no trouble with wind buffering. We had a Slip Stream and not overly impressed. I like to look over my windshield but still have enough to pull it up if I feel the need.

I've never tried a F4 but have never heard any complaints.

My only complaint on the Long Ride would be that the shield if thinner than most. Scratches have not been an issue with our shield.

Would probably buy another if the need arises.
