Minnesota laws for building a trike

I just moved to South West Minnesota, and would like to know the Minnesota laws for trike building. I would hate to start a trike, only to have to tare it apart because it is illegal.

Contact the DMV in the Twin Cities. They will have all of the laws/regs etc.

I just escaped California to come live with my daughter in my old (to her) age. She wants me to make a trike out of her popup camper trailer, so she and the grand daughter can go camping this summer. It will be easy to do as soon as I get set up in the garage, and find a small pickup for a donor vehicle.
