I am currently teaching my sister how to ride her trike. She is doing fine EXCEPT she has this block where she can't operate the heel toe shifter. I can't get it thru her head how to operate it. Do others ever had that problem? I never met anyone who had such a difficult time just remembering how to shift with a heel toe. I've had both, but never really felt I needed one except on the Harleys that I owned.

Has anyone used a heel toe shifter with foot pegs I can't get my old club foot under the toe shifter thinking about changing to heel toe type on a Honda GL1800. Thanks for any input
I bought the Kury heel & toe shifter to be used with stock pegs. Installed it on my GL1800 and after a short ride decided it was not for me. I found it a little cumbersome for me to heel shift with my size 9.5 boots. It may work better for bigger feet. PM me if you would be interested in it.

The first mod I made to my wife's 2010 was to replace the pegs with the Kuryakin floorboard kit. Other than trying to adapt to not having 1 down and 4 up, I haven't heard any complaints.
I am curious to see what others have to say.
That said, I did love the floor boards just not the shifter. So I just fabricated a riser for the shifter that allows me to shift up and down without using the heal. The toe shifter is now tall enough that allows me to stick my boot under the shift and up shift.
