Hello from NY
Hi everyone I just joined this site so I could get some information on converting my 2017 Harley Ultra Limited into a Trike or purchasing a 2018 Harley Tri-Glide. I have never driven a trike so I don't know which suspension is better Solid or independent? I am a disabled vet and my knees have gotten worse so I have to give up the two wheels for three and I want to make the right move. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it! Thanks!

First off WELCOME. Next, if you have your bike under warranty don't convert, warranty will be voided. I had reservation about HD solid axle, but when I found out if I converted my warranty would be voided, I decided on a new Tri Glide. It was just as cheap to buy a new HD as to convert to Motor Trike. That said, I have upgraded my suspension & the solid axle is of no concern. We like it so much we have just over 20,000 miles in a year & 1/2. Best of luck with whatever you do. O yeah I also have the 7 yr extended in the deal.

welcome aboard Gary. Rent a TRI Glide of a week to see what is going on. Make sure the rear tires only have about 24 lbs in them. The dealers jack the air up in them because thats what they are told to do. 24 is what most of us rum and the ride will be a lot better. Good. Luck
