So I check my mail this morning and see that J&P is now offering the Vance and Hines code reader.Of course it plugs into the DLC plug and allows you to read codes and sensor data-on your smart phone.Oh boy.$99.99. Read only makes it worthless -to me.I can read codes via the self diagnostics and cross reference in the manual. But that dosnt look cool as doing it from my phone.I have the FP3 on a twin cam that's far more usefull and has tuning capabilities. Ok maybe that code reader does have its uses.Like being broke down on the side of the road you can maybe figure out at 3 a.m. why maybe.Im sure the wrecker driver will be impressed.Ill think I'll just invest in a spare crank position sensor. That should take care of 99% of breakdown problems.
