Looking forward to how you like the pulley change!

Just got back from picking up a very different Triglide we now actually have guts pulling out and there is a 6th. gear in the transmission New stator and voltage regulator the plugs were rotted off old regulator. and a whole bunch of new gaskets 10 year old Harley I am not complaining. The change to the 30 tooth pulley is great, now anyone in flat lands with a little more motor I would make a tremendous deal on a 32 tooth pulley. Until then it will be a door stop in Garage. New Castle Harley fixed us up in less than 10 day's this time of year good people great service at least in my world. We paid a good price for our service and I am very pleased Motor is all dried up no issues now at all. Travel safe Fred

Fearless, You seem to be pleased with the work that had to be done after about 10 years of Tri Glide ownership. Do you find that it increased the price per mile cost of operation significantly looking back over the past 10 years or are you thinking it was not that significant?
First repair I had to do since purchase in 2013. I have added things ie tuner raised fuel tank air deflectors changed windshields a half a dozen times and changed front tire twice. I have not one issue with the 09' I'm planning on keeping it until I die I can repair change what ever and not worry about Harley wanting to void a warranty. 44 months of ownership first repair comes out to less than $300 per year in repairs, I spend more than that on lottery tickets. These repairs were due to age not engineering. I even had the front Pulley swapped out from 32 tooth to 30 tooth while was apart time to get the same gearing newer models. Happy Harley Davidson owner. ride safe Fred

Great news Fearless, glad things went well, now you've got all the rest of the year to enjoy riding.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting...Holy Sh!t What a ride!
That really sounds like GREAT news.........best of luck on your NEW RIDE!
Just a note to those of us with older trikes - both Wife//I have 2010 HD trikes
and I noticed that I had NO license plate illumination-checked hers and only one
was working (there are 2 incandescent in the trunk handle) - replaced all with LED’s,
easy job and VERY HAPPY WITH RESULT, rarely ride at night so who knows how long
they have been out!
I know this is not the correct place but..that portion is closed right now. I have the 32 tooth pulley with 25+ miles on it and I will never use it again. The only use I could possibly see is for someone in a very flat area that is running at high rpm all day long. I believe this pulley would work great for them, to lower the top end rpm in 6th gear. I would make a very attractive deal for someone interested. I got a great deal on my 30 tooth pulley and more than willing to pass the good will along. Ride safe Fred

Fred! That's great news. Happy to hear you have it back and in good running condition...ready for many miles of smiles in the wind!

I don't dwell on what it cost me for this life long hobby called Harley Davidson-its a recreational vehicle and a passionate hobby. If I did I'd probably just sit in the corner and cry.Same with handguns. And Redheads.Oh-here comes one now.
Great to hear Fred .... Old Shinney rides again.
Doing the gear change was a good idea at the time ... same labor cost.
