Anyone ride with their dog? If so, how do they ride? Do you have a special cart?

Don't have a dog anymore but friends we ride with in Texas, haul a little dog in a dog pack on their GW trike. It has his own leather helmet and goggles. The dog is restrained but can duck down to sleep. He hates it when they don't take him. After 4-5 years of use, the carrier mount broke loose and the poor little dog was dragged 100 feet before they could get it stopped. It had some road rash, but otherwise ok. I don't know brand of pack but check the mounting system, before and after you buy. We haven't talked to them since, to see if the dog will still ride, but knowing "Pepper", he will get over it.
I'm looking at a Sheepadoodle (Old English Sheep Dog/Poodle mix) which will be a medium to large dog. I have seen small trailers made for larger dogs. I really don't want to have the dog in a trailer with the exhaust blowing straight at him not to mention the sound of the pipes.
That is too bad about the little guy. He must be tough to survive that. Hope he is doing well and still riding.
Here, check this out...from an older post

One more for a larger breed, there used to be a thread somewhere here on TT

I sure would love to take my 80lb Rottie/Staffie with me, but not drag him behind in a trailer. Somewhere online I saw (I think homemade) carrier in place of the trunk. I could go for that.

I found sever trailers including the "wagtrailer"...I just can't pay $6K for that.
I think can modify another small trailer with solar air, lights and several other custom features for around $800 or less.
Will see what I can come up with IF I get the dog and he/she takes to riding.
So inquiring minds want to know: did you get the Indian deal done, D/T?
The Yamaha you have/had is/was a good looking ride, but an Indian would be a step up IMO...
Isn't it weird that in AMERICA, our flag and our culture offend so many people...but our benefits don't???
NO DEAL on the Indian Trike....... the guy was wanting my trike as partial trade and then for me to give him $7K.... After I sent him pics of my trike he realized that wasn't going to happen. I tried to work something out with him but he is losing his job and needs $$$ for Cobra insurance so can't do an even swap and I have no cash to make a deal happen.
I would love to have had that setup but if the deal falls thru on the guy buying my Indian Vintage, I may try to find the $$ to have a sidecar added. If I do that, I will sell my trike to pay for the sidecar.
Hope to get my trike back either tomorrow or early next week. I had a few items that needed fixing and all the fluids changed (brakes, hydraulics, coolant and rear differential). Should be good to go for the Maggie Valley trip and any other I can get in this summer.
We need to get with Rosie and set up a local ride!!
Yes , I ride with Teddie , he weighs about 10 lbs. He sits in front of me on the stallion . I took my seat off & bolted a small chain to the frame . The chain is about 8 inches long and it clips to his collier to keep him in . Seems to work good for us .
