Pete, you can go direct with Randy (Papa Zook ) for more clarification, but this is not a fundraiser. It is a change in the operation of the Forum. Most of us do not have a clue at what it costs to run a Forum. And the bigger the Forum gets the more expensive it is do run. There is cost to make sure the supporting soft ware is current and protects the people using the forum from spammers and hackers. And the basic software has to be kept current to make using the forum quick and with as little errors as possible. All of this costs money.

I do not know if you know Randy or not but I do. He is just like most of us living day to day on the income he gets from his shop. As a matter of fact I would guess many on our forum are far better off then Randy. Randy started this forum in 2007 while recovering in the hospital as a means to connect the then starting up trike community. So any way it has come to the point where the Forum needs to become some what self supporting. By members signing up to the for a fee forum the software is going to be available to do much more then what is available now for free. PM's Classified are just the initial services that are going to be activated. But bottom line if we want this forum to survive then we need to become a paid for forum.

For whatever reason I cannot message you back from here. I get a "Not Logged In" message when I try. But I can reply via the group. Weird. Maybe something in my SW if nobody else is having a problem but I'm too dumb about IE to know.
