I noticed The classifieds were down for maintenance also. I pm’ed Zookeeper to find out where to post my brother-in-law’s Honda trike which he has decided to sell.

The reason classifieds are closed is because PMs are closed. Posting personal contact information such as phone number and email is not allowed. This is for security purposes and from lack of resources to monitor spamming, phishing scams and other TOS abuses via PMs.

There will soon be an option to subscribe to an upgraded membership that will include classifieds and PMs and some other very nice features. The subscriptions will solve several challenges, one it will give us some much needed financial support to host the site, keep our security and operating software updated, pay for tech help, and keep this site alive, and the spammers will not have access to PMs.

Unless I actually showed you how much I have spent and continue to spend on this site and how many individuals and companies I pay for tech support, security software and support, hosting, glitch fixing, etc, etc, you would never believe me. Its not about the money, if it was I would not have waited 11 years to offer subscriptions.

It takes a tremendous amount of time, manpower and money to keep a site like this operating smoothly. I hope you all will consider subscribing to support this community because it is YOUR community, I'm just the man behind the curtain doing my best to keep it all running smoothly.

I have a system in place that automates the whole process, but its not 100% ready because I have been hesitant to do it.

Great Idea!

I belong to several other Forums.

Trike-Talk is, by far, the most friendly and useful forum I visit. So much information, and folks willing to help. Organized Rides/Get-togethers, a great team of Moderators, and while there can be lively and productive discussions, it does not deteriorate into name-calling, etc.

A sense of community and friendship that is rare online.

AND NO irritating ads popping up all over the screen!

That said, most other forums I'm on have always had an Optional Upgraded Membership with an annual subscription fee and sometimes a lifetime subscription fee option.

It is a small way for folks on the forum to help defer some of the costs that are part of running a forum...and to keep those pop-ups from littering the community.

Usually there are some various "extra benefits" to those that become Members. But even without those, to pay a small annual amount is just a way of saying "thank you" to the folks that provide the forum as a place to learn, make friends, and get questions answered.

I think it's a great idea, I'm in!

You and any 'Team Trike' subscriber can set your own custom titles now in your settings panel, post and reply via PM to classifieds ads, and PM all other Team Trike subscribing members. You two also have merch coming, I will PM you with options. Other features are being added now too, will PM you with those.

It's available right now. Look in your settings section and you will see a paid subscriptions button down on the left.



<click on credit or debit if you dont use PayPal.

Click on it and pay via PayPal or credit card and your'e done! I will PM you about the free merchandise choices, and other features. One is your user selected title, that you can change at will any time. Right now your says 600+ post club. just go and and change it to whatever you want.
