Welcome Garry.
As a current owner of both a sidehack and trike, from a physical strength standpoint, the trike is easier to handle/ride.
If you have good upper body strength and will continue to retain that strength throughout your "journey", the sidehack will likely be your least expensive option.
As far as getting your chair into the hack, not many of us are able to physically do that while seated on the bike.
That was my main reason to build out a trike. I like being independent and able to ride, without another person helping me get out of the garage and on the road. Good luck on your decision...
Isn't it weird that in AMERICA, our flag and our culture offend so many people...but our benefits don't???
Thank you,
I would be able to load and unload since I can walk short distances, I am not a fulltime chair user. If there is any good point to not riding for over a decade, most of the old riding habits are gone. I did test drive a Heritage with a hack a few weeks ago. it was only around a church parking lot, but honestly it felt pretty good!
Welcome from Indiana !!!
Bob
Welcome and glad that your not throwing in the towel to ride. I have seen many listed for sale due to health reasons and that just stinks. Ride safe, enjoy and look forward to a ton of helpful folks on this site.
