    Default Highway pegs

I was wanting to know what are the most comfortable highway pegs to put on my 1800 Goldwing 2014? I have a Roadsmith Kit on it.

    Thanks Mike

I've had them on a 2006 and now a 2016 and, quite frankly, I found and still find them, essentially useless. Never could get the things adjusted so they were comfortable.

Had these on my Goldwing. They were the most comfortable because you could rest your heel as well.

I have these on my GW trike. They are comfortable. You don’t have to worry about your foot slipping off the peg. Plus, they fold up so nicely when not needed.

Had them on 2012 I completely agree. These are the same ones I used.

Ergo II are the best. I've had them on all my Wings. Buy them at Wingstuff instead of JP and save yourself about 50 bucks.

I agree as to the fact that on my trike. The foot pegs on the engine guard are relatively useless.

Just no adequate adjustment on the engine bar. All the way back towards the seat has been the best of all bad positions.

They just don't let you stretch out much on longer rides. Too far forward and your legs hit the pods.

Thanks for all the responses on Hiway Pegs. Still confused as what to buy or not buy.

Its not so much the brand of pegs you can get.

Its the positioning of them that is the issue.

On the engine guard your limited as to where to put the bracket that holds the pegs.

In my case we are the same height and inseam.

I have the pegs mounted as close to the back of the engine guard as it will fit before it curves back.

When in the down position. In my case.

My heal more so then my foot is on the peg if I want to stretch out my legs. So my leg is still bent at the knee and NOT stretched out. Your foot is just a bit forward and outboard of the engine guard.

The pods in the way of stretching out straight. Period.

The positioning choices are for me anyway bad to worse.

The sides of the pods stick out way to much to have the pegs mounted as you would on say the engine guard of a V-Twin. Where you can actually put the ball of your foot on the pegs.

If I had to do it all over again in my case.

Id save the money skip the pegs and get some other goody you might want like a back rest or something more useful.

Thanks Jaysgone for the info on the hiway pegs. I like the idea of getting back rest that I know would be useful. I have one on my 2010 HD Limited. Really a back saver!!

To me it does make a difference on what your inseam is, I am 6 ft 2 with a 34 inch inseam and on both my 2006 two wheel wing and my new to me 2012 trike I could never get the standard arm (short) that came with the Kury kits to work, always had to buy the longer arm to make them fit for me. With that being said I now have floorboards on my trike with the longer arms and they work great for me, they let me stretch all the way out.
