I believe if you can read instructions get a Touring shop service manual and Triglide supplement anything short of Motor work we can do. With videos and U tube now instruction is everywhere. 2014 my costs with a new Bars, Clutch cable, new gaskets for tranny plus oil and Derby cover and new oil there as well. Well under $225. The savings and challenge of doing it was well worth the stress. At the end of the day when someone looks at it and gives you a compliment you can say thank you I did the switch myself, pride in the ride. Travel safe Fred

Sorry for the rant! I must add not all people are Mechanically inclined. What I mean if you have the tools and time and do little projects do not be intimidated by the name Harley Davidson it's just a machine Fred

Just finished installing the new Bar on my 17 TG. I ended up buying the extension wires for the switch control wires. Glad I did, would have been more work otherwise. I was also able to pull all wires inside the bar for a cleaner look. It took a few choice cuss words here and there but I was able to do it. The clutch hyd line only needed to be rearranged a little by cutting the factory cable ties and adjusting— same with the brake line. I just methodically worked my way through the whole process and avoided rushing anything. Probably took around 3 or 4 hours total.

Took a quick spin around the yard and can’t believe how easy she turns now! It’s like Power Steering!

Thank you Fred! I haven’t had a chance to get in to the wind with it yet but I’m pretty darn sure I’m going to like it.

I should have installed new grips while I was at it.
